Writing Creativity and Soul by Sue Monk Kidd.
Wow—how cool to uncover the inspirations behind Sue Monk Kidd’s writing, especially for some of my favorite books. As a reader, I loved learning how she shaped the moments, characters, and themes I’ve cherished. As a writer, I appreciated her insights and creative process.

So much more than a love story! Fall in love with Vanessa & Joan and their challenges as women astronauts exploring life, love, and the definition of home in the earlier days of NASA. Every page sucks you in until the culminating chapter that will leave you breathless. Highly recommend! #BookSkye 💙📚

Wow. Wild Dark Shores by Charlotte Conagahy is so unique & different. Wonder & awe of nature from a tiny powerful seed to a large magnificent whale. Deep emotions from humanity & love to grief, parenthood, & loyalty. Memorable characters. Kept me guessing until the end.

Not your typical heartwrenching WW2 book. “The Martha’s Vineyard Beach and Book Club” by Martha Hall Kelly focuses more on relationships between sisters & friends and their efforts to get books into the hands of the troops. Even with the backdrop of war, this a great summer read!

I picked up “The House on Biscayne Bay” by Chanel Cleeton to read a historical fiction set in Miami in the 1920’s and was pleasantly surprised that it read more like a murder-mystery. It kept me guessing until the end. I recommend if you like a combo of those genres. #BookSky💙📚⏳

Before visiting France, I read The Paris Wife by Paula McLain, which explores Ernest Hemingway’s life in Paris. Now, traveling to Key West, I turned to Hemingway’s Girl by Erika Robuck, about his time there. I highly recommend both to fans of HF, Hemingway, or Paris or Key West tourists

I read “The Old Man and the Sea” by Ernest Hemingway to enhance an upcoming visit to Hemingway’s home. It’s about an old fisherman who embarks on a fishing journey to catch a giant marlin. Beautifully written and a great story of perseverance and humans’ relationship with nature.
