From the earliest planning stages, there was a clear goal of not using any big social media platforms for this event. Given the timing recently of a lot of things, it does seem quite serendipitous for users of #PeerTube and #Owncast !

For this event, no big social media sites are being used. This is a very deliberate choice to use #peerTube (or #owncast for existing users) to decouple this connection-building from any specific platform. You don't need to have a PeerTube account to participate! DM for more. #art #noai #writers

This being the first time ever trying to run such an event, there are a lot of little details to get right, including building it in a way that people can trust. Here’s hoping that can happen in the lead-up to the event. Trust and safety are very important, without which nothing will proceed.
