The Supreme Courtโ€™s decision is hugely disappointing. As elected national and regional officers across Young Labour and Labour Students, we share the deep concerns of our LGBTQ+ members, particularly our trans members, about the potential implications of this ruling.

We will continue to fight against all attempts to strip trans people of their rights, and will use all levers within the Labour Party to make trans voices heard.

Labour must protect the Equality Act - one of Labourโ€™s proudest pieces of legislation - and its legal protections for trans people.

The Labour Party must stand firmly behind the LGBT+ community.

In line with Young Labourโ€™s policy, unanimously approved by the Young Labour National Committee, we stand in absolute solidarity with the trans community across the UK to live their lives with dignity and be free from all discrimination.

Signed,

I think Oxford deserves a leader who's actually got some idea what's going on in it ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Oxford needs to be in charge of its own destiny, not run from rural Oxfordshire

Creating a Greater Oxford is the only local government reorganisation that makes any sense
