Hi lazyweb. I'm feeling thoroughly annoyed at Autodesk fusion. Any recommendations for free & open source 3d cad systems I can go learn? Desktop apps only, nothing web-based. I know blender is a thing, but it's a 3d modeling system, and I'm looking for much more of a cad app.

@ai6yr Arrived today! Pretty cool to set this up & have a dedicated ads-b receiver. The antenna is sitting indoors on a (south-facing) windowsill, and I'm picking up aircraft that are quite far away, even from those that are fairly far north where I should have some pretty poor reception.

@ai6yr liveatc.net, search for BUR. You’ll want the “tower” feed, as that frequency is likely the one used as CTAF when tower is closed.

Interestingly, there’s a unicom frequency (122.95 MHz) for BUR which is not the same as tower or ground.
