I go birding and been all over but not away much these days except Europe and UK. Suffolk is always a focus but will be out and about more 2025. Love sea-watching, when conditions are right. I have local Mid Suffolk inland patch.

Birdwatching may reshape the brain and build its buffer against ageing Expert birdwatchers have changes in their brain structure compared with novices, which probably help them better identify birds and may even protect against age-related cognitive decline

Environment 15%? There is a significant link between all the issues on this list! I dont understand how this is not realised made a political priority or key educational issue. The Economy is a direct link it has been proven?

Unless of course trapped inside a reserves electric fence. At a place I spend a lot of time. Very difficult to get them out and breeding year on year becomes unsustainble and they do danage breeding wader nests! Only one option?

I agree many reasons to stop feeding birds and surprised @rspb.bsky.social and others are so slow to drop it? Lots of places in Suffolk have taken feeders away

I was watching foraging birds successfuly rooting out food in moss etc. in my garden and it resonated with me that we have been taking away their natural abilities with feeders. Definately not for me anymore disease spread as well not a viable option?
