People who think stuff like this is dumb just don't have a heart. Most devil fruits are goofy as hell. Bonney's is definitely one of the coolest. It makes sense to do stuff like that after Vegapunk's hypothesis that devil fruits are based on peoples' dreams. Scaling a fruit with hope is powerful.
