People who stop taking GLP-1 drugs regain weight faster, review finds | CBC News When people who are overweight and obese stopped taking their weight-loss medications they regained weight faster than those who stopped a diet or exercise program, a new review of studies finds.

"Many of my patients are surprised when I tell them that these medications are long term."

Dr. Sonja Reichert provided expert commentary to CBC News about GLP-1 weight-loss medications and new evidence that shows weight returns fast after ending their use.
