The thing about the "I voted against this" position Schumer is taking is that either he is trying to mislead Dem voters by implying he didn't support reopening right now, or he has no control over his caucus.
10.11.2025 21:35 β π 3267 π 599 π¬ 111 π 42@schumer.senate.gov and the Democrats are officially controlled opposition. The death of the party is the only chance for democracy to survive.
Schumer, burn in hell. Your constant capitulation will be the subject of future classes titled: "pretending to resist fascism."
Get him an AIPAC branded, oil-based dildo and he will probably do it himself.

10.11.2025 01:25 β π 16815 π 5522 π¬ 427 π 295Considering that this is the first time EVER that snap has been disrupted, AND the Republicans have been breaking the law left and right, there isn't anything that is a bridge too far on this.
10.11.2025 01:36 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@schumer.senate.gov deciding to surrender all leverage, the kind of leverage that crosses the aisles, to get a "promise" of an ACA vote means that I need to quit teaching and find a new job now. It isn't even possible for me to keep my insurance as a teacher without the ACA credits.

Who knows why.

Good day to remember that a US President has no inherent power over tariffs whatsoever. Itβs not like war powers or pardons. Itβs entirely delegated by Congress to deal with emergencies. GOP Congress cld modify that law tonight and bring this to a screeching halt.

Things Democratic Senators could do that would be useful:
- Withdraw unanimous consent from all Senate business until constitutional rule was restored
- Refuse to vote for any legislation until constitutional rule was restored
- Boycott as a caucus until constitutional rule was restored
