As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget.

My least favorite news stories are going to be “these white women voted for trump and now look at their shitty lives.”

The wages of the richest 1% have skyrocketed 182% since 1979. 

Meanwhile, the wages of the bottom 90% have seen just 44% growth. 

Trickle down economics was always a hoax.

The top 0.1% of Americans control $22 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% control $3.8 trillion in wealth.

Read that back.

Folks, this is what oligarchy looks like.

Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP. 

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

-Assisted elderly and disabled people
-Helped hospitals better treat people who have lost limbs

As a blue Oklahoman doing their best to create change, this hurts a little deep down—but I also get it. Our state’s leaders need to feel the pain of people not wanting to do business here due to the majority’s political ideology.

Trump is an extremely dangerous man--stupid, vindictive, fixated on payback for his enemies. This country will be lucky to survive him.

My kid's high school is the only one I know of in the metro area that truly supports trans students and teachers. To promote this would make them a target, so they fly under the radar, quietly serving those who need it most. I pray they can continue to keep students and teachers safe.

I just heard from a nonprofit in Massachusetts that helps veterans with transitional housing.

Trump's shutdown of gov funding hurts their ability to buy and prepare food for 100+ veterans.

Rent is due in 5 days. The loss of funds could mean some veterans face eviction.

The federal shut down feels eerily familiar to when Elon & co took over Twitter. They came in, asked no questions, had no idea who did what and it was absolute chaos. That was a social media platform. This is the country. People are going to die because these are incompetent cruel bullies.

Civil rights were won through protests and lawsuits and literally fighting back. We are not in unprecedented times. We are in a horrible reboot of Reconstruction. Fight in every way possible. Flood those anti DEI tiplines with misinformation, spend 10 minutes every day telling your reps to stop this

The bottom 50% of households hold just 2.4% of U.S. wealth.

The top 1% control 42% of the wealth.

Trump has deployed active military to help round up migrants and put them into detention camps.

The military forced us out of our homes at gunpoint in 1942 because we were considered possibly disloyal Americans. They sent us to internment camps for four years.

History is repeating. Pay attention.

Guys when Chris Rufo and Trump say "We're destroying DEI, we're salting the earth underneath it" and they're talking about regulations that reach back to 1965, they're not talking about corporate diversity trainings.

They are talking about civil rights

Every month when I pay my bills, I take a moment to be thankful that I have the money to do so because growing up, I went without heat or ate PB sandwiches for every meal until payday. People like Gov Walz understand that.
