A3 - Not sure why, but it is exhausting! Whether teachers are doing laps while proctoring, sitting for a 1-on-1 administration, or somewhere in between, there is a mind-numbing-ness that none of us signed up for. #tlap

A2 - Grace! When a teacher shows up in my office, unsure of where to send her kids for their accommodations, I join her in class to call out room assignments; we tackle it together! #tlap

I understand the impact and have found that those we impact often need a model of better balance too. They need to see examples of people putting themselves first. I'm a coach and have had teachers express gratitude when I share my human-ness (which came out human-mess! 🤣). #tlap

A4 Do the work on school time whenever possible. My principal is great about releasing teachers for half and full days to plan as teams or individually. She'd rather your worked on her time than become burnt out or resentful for working for free. Of course, it means subs and sub plans...so... #tlap

A3 I take my own advice. I tell teachers all the time that I'd rather be at home disappointing people at school (who are likely not actually thinking about me all that much) then at school disappointing people at home (including myself). They need to hear it. So do I. #tlap

Or lugging it back to the car in the morning! 😂

During COVID I realized how much I rely on my 45 minute commute and had to take drives often to decompress. That time really makes a difference... singing WICKED these days (of course😉)! #tlap

I love this! Remembering that my WORK is bigger than my JOB is a key to staying energized! 🙌

A2 to regain balance tonight, I worked out (with my last ounce of strength), played ball with the dog, and left my work bag in the car knowing that I scheduled time to complete tomorrow's tasks... tomorrow! #tlap

I coach teachers all the time who feel guilty for worrying about home at work. In five days or five years, home will matter most! It really isn't balanced is it?!

I was thinking that I've never talked about this topic when home overwhelms work. Just the other way around. Balance really isn't the right idea, is it!?!

Yes, Chat now helps me across chats. "Well, you may want to consider that other project we worked on together when you think about this one!" I even used it to practice a coaching conversation that I was sure was going to go sideways!

Our DTL introduced us to Adobe Express and third graders used it the next day to create their own characters, modifying their directions until they got it just right! Love it!

I'm learning about Figma right now through #ditchsummit. It's almost overwhelming all the things it can do! Was hoping to use it in an online class for teachers to collaborate.

A1: In PLCs, we use ChatGPT when we get stuck, e.g.: What are real-world reasons you would divide fractions by whole numbers and vice versa. It helped Ts who were hesitant to get to know the tool and it gave us something we could take back into classrooms right away! #eduskychat
