Hopefully, AI can help doctors access data and information more efficiently in order to treat patients, as well as conencting and monitoring patients more accurately (as in wearables). #HealthXPH Hopefully allowing doctors to connect to more patients.

Ophthalmologists trained AI with thousands and thousabds of clinical pictures to screen for diabetic retinopathy using a phone with a lens attached, to take fundoscopic photos of the retina. Amazing! #HealthXPH

I would probably trust a doctor more who uses AI for screening instead of for diagnosing. It's similar to what residents do. They interview patients and present to consultants the organized case protocols with pertinent positives #HealthXPH

Some studies show that humans get tired after doing a hundred patient consults, while AI get better with time when faced with the same algorithms #HealthXPH

I am leaning more towards using AI to make health systems more efficient and cost-effective compared to hiring a lot of manpower to do manual and clerical jobs #HealthXPH

Making good exams is also a challenge. Training on test construction never grows old for a teacher. #HealthXPH We also have to make sure the questions reflect what we have taught and what the students should have learned.

When classes conflict with meetings and patient emergencies, it's a problem. I'm glad technology provides solutions for this like asynchronous sessions, video lectures and assignments on LMS. #healthXPH

How sad. These natural calamities are real disasters. We really should have masteral degrees in disaster risk reduction management, or at least the government should provide this. #HealthXPH

I am like this when I do surgeries. Once the specimen (or baby is out), I relax and start asking questions about the case like revalida. We start with the youngest, usually the clerk. If he can't answer, we move on to the intern. If he can't answer we pass to the younger resident. #HealthXPH

Hello Jim! Cebu was badly hit. People have not really bounced back from the earthquake yet, and the typhoon Tino hit with storm surge and floods within the metropolis with many houses swept away. #HealthXPH We are still distributing relief goods, and it's still raining outside :-(

I remember when I was a clerk at UST, we admitted a cyanotic old man who had a heart attack, and I had to do ambubagging the whole night and coach him to breathe with the bag. That taught me that the old man's life was literally in my hands. I stop bagging, he stops breathing. #HealthXPH

Have you ever felt the need for this??? Especially for morning conferences when you are post-duty or after-lunch lectures in classes? #healthXPH that's what comes to mind when I think of sleep deprivation.

When people complain of difficulty losing weight, getting enough sleep is the first thing you need to address. #healthXPH Sleep hygiene is self-care. Easier said than done, but at least start with accepting this fact.
