10.01.2025 11:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0leadership - about making others better.
anything about *you* is not leading.
everythign about others is leading.
you dont get better by lifting the same number of weights the same number of times every day - too comfy - try something that feels risky - try something you feel incompenant at.
20.12.2024 12:48 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0bringing a beginner’s mind to new areas (with humility) - is not easy - imposter syndrome is normal here - ultimately it doesnt matter - always feel like a completely consumed beginner (imposter) - unless it stops you - this is something you identify and accept and do what you do anyway.
20.12.2024 12:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0generalist approach helps you be a better problem solver
generalist allows you to be more ‘sticky’
enables you to solve things that are unfamiliar, not executing procedures that you’ve done a milion times
look for structures, patterns and abstractions - outside of your domain
what is the role of audio?
in making: help the director figure out what the game sounds like (act as an occasional co-director). have those conversations with the director and ask those questions, then explore that world.
