Fortunately, random poems and lyric sets will still happen whenever they happen to occur to me, so it's not like I'm going to be falling off the map. The Fallen Star trio are just going on vacation.

May as well make it official. I'm taking a break from writing prose for the rest of Oct, Nov and Dec- holidays are always stressful times and I've NEVER been happy with any chapter I've written during them. I'll finish the current chapter, which has been a struggle, and the next will be in Jan.

Today's lesson in clay work: it's very hard to make female anatomy look right and not over exaggerated. Poor Melphina was definitely not that 'blessed' by nature but lordy is it hard getting things to the right proportions while still looking right.
Figuring the tail out is going to be fun.
So the next chapter is being delayed as I'm sure has become evident, but I promise it's for a good reason. (versus the last ones being delayed by less desirable things.) Fallen Star will continue - just after I get done making a few more long overdue gifts for some friends.
