I think it’s just because of the sheer *amount* of games listed there - if I didn’t know any better, I’d think “wow, this person doesn’t seem to like *any* video games.”

Since I do know better, I know that BMB has way different tastes than everyone else and would rather find games that match them.

Couple it with the sudden wave of revivals Bubsy’s gotten over the past decade (two from a South Korean company reviving old publisher Accolade, this new one from a zombie ghost company holding the Atari name), and suddenly there’s a certain crowd taking notice.

Not by design, I can tell you that for free; I think most video game mascot characters just *become* that over time with the right amount of exposure. Bubsy definitely got that exposure from “angry reviewers” back in the day, which contributed to his weird meme post-life.

Word that the great Drew Struzan, who painted more iconic movie posters in the 1980s & 90s than you can imagine, has entered the final stages of Alzheimers. His wife asked that everyone thinks of him and his work and I'm certainly glad to do so. What a talent.
