Every October 9, a crowd gathers in Central Park’s Strawberry Fields to dance, sing & celebrate John Lennon’s birthday. One addition this year: a vibrating Tibetan foot bowl placed on the Imagine mosaics to help people feel grounded.

Going to Zabar’s is about more than food shopping, though it’s especially bustling & inviting on holidays. Paid my respects after hearing owner Saul Zabar died today at 97 years old.
