Saying they're cancerous and delusional to explain fascist behavior is ableist, as is reducing one to a "sociopath" to explain their actions.

Please name the direct problem: the US is built on settler colonialism/yt supremacy.

I would encourage you to not repost rhetoric that not only continues to build on the premise that boomers are in some way mad or mentally disabled & brought about our state of affairs, but also not erase the fact that we have boomers who did fight back and are dead or disabled by these same systems.

How does this perspective of awaiting the death of boomers say about the likes of Nick Fuentes? Charlie Kirk? Milo Yiannopoulos? People who by all accounts support the same violent policies but come from entirely separate generations?

Boomers are no more at a unique, individual fault for fascist policies than our generation is for creating our current conditions. Your stance also erases those killed, tortured, institutionalized, and abused by those very same systems and aren't alive to continue fighting.

This is the key reason why trans/intersex people are so frequently labeled as mentally ill--there are already existing institutions predicated on ableist violence toward mad individuals.

Labeling fascists "psycho" not only obfuscates naming their proximity to white supremacy and harms disabled people who disproportionately victimized by these institutions, but it also harms other marginalized people pathologized by the state. Ableism is the toolkit.

This is in addition to the violence rationalized toward disabled Black people who by all accounts would also be labeled mad and "psycho" by the state. Sonya Massey, a Black woman w/ schizophrenia murdered by the state for instance. Madness is not criminality/fascism.

and you can see a very distinct history of medical professionals rationalizing this very behavior to explain undesirable, criminal, and fascist beliefs that we should not be reproducing to oppose fascist beliefs and policy.

There's a reason disability is the go-to way regardless of political alignment to disparage politicians and why it is so often juxtaposed with criminality.

There's an extensive history in the US rationalizing murder and eugenics by way of disability and age to people for the betterment of society.

W/ ongoing MAiD efforts that see the execution of disabled people, the eugenics of the still ongoing pandemics, & the history of conflating disability w/ criminality to argue inherent traits cause criminality, it's harmful to call for something like this when there's a more specific target to name.

To begin with, pathologizing people as "psychopathic" as a way to explain their fascist or undesirable behavior assumes that fascism, bigotry and violence is a pathology fixed with the removal of disabled people.

Politicians who align with fascism does not do so out of madness.

I want to be respectful in saying this because I understand this is coming in reaction to a frankly dystopian situation with respect to the state of things, but this is harmful to say.

I'd encourage you to recognize both the violent ableism and ageism expressed by choosing to say this.

And like, where the hell are we supposed to put it? Multiple multinational corporations united to deliberately drive Itchio out of business as punishment for letting gay people post the "their own stuff" we made.
