Not much of interest in the Rage new music hour this morning so far but happy to see Hen Ogledd getting a run for a second week. Take that yoofs.

Good thing it was swampy and unsleepable last night, cos I just woke up. Otherwise I'd have to wait for the Tottenham job. (I hear they love Australian managers.)

Just woke up. Turned on Rage to Way Out West with The Gift, which is a gentle way to wake up.

Surprised to see Austria as fairly hard, unless you mean fairly hard techno.

Worked fine on phone.

The UK never win cos politics (and often bad songs) so they may as well have fun.

My main memory is their singles being blared form the radio on the fridge when I was an 80s kid. But also Tusk was a regular when the radio station needed to fill an awkwardly short gap until the news at the top of the hour. (Song 2 had the same role when I was on student radio years later.)

It's the Fleetwood Mac song I am most likely to forget is Fleetwood Mac.

Younger teens anyway

Girls Just Wanna is a much easier sell to a current teen than a lot of Madonna.

New to to me but currently listening to one of the other 2010s albums (Particles In Space), and adding the two others to my listen to list. Really enjoying this.

I thought the Fool's fate in the play was ambiguous. (Otherwise my great take away from doing Leer at school was the word flibbertigibbet.)

I really enjoyed the Gorillaz album - easily best since Plastic Beach - and thought the Mitski album was okay.

But the best new release I have heard in the past week is this by Caterina Barbieri and Bendik Giske. Synth n sax.

Long had Barbieri on my keep an ear out for list. Giske is new to me.

Dicks excelled at clean, clear prose. I learned a lot about writing from his books.
