I love people's creativity and the various ways they have found to support each other. I've seen several examples of people doing this in Chicago. If you know a local vendor, can you do the same for them? Sell their goods so they won't be vulnerable to ICE?

I have a lot of scared people in my life, who often use the phrase “…and then it’ll be all over” when they try to imagine some threshold, some real point of no return, in their politics. But what exactly will be over? And isn’t it possible that we could be on the brink of a whole new dream/reality?

There’s a line in Everything for Everyone where you elide what precisely happened to get the reader from where we are now to where/when all the interviewees are in the text. I thought it was one of the smartest moments in the story. We can’t know exactly how this chaos is erupting… just that it is.
