a lot of moments happen offscreen and it’s up to us to connect the dots I’m choosin to believe that Husk and Niffty told Charlie that Alastor had a plan and that’s why she trusted him enough not to immediately jump in after him

The people going OMG CHARLIE YOU’RE DOING SUCH A SELFISH THING, YOU ONLY WANT TO IMPRESS YOUR MOM make me laugh because okay, sure, maybe part of her does. but she’s still trying to save people. if her mom is supposedly her “only” motivation then how come that was never even mentioned in season one?

similarly, charlie can want to help sinners because she genuinely cares, AND because she wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps & earn her approval. Those motivations can coexist. She can make mistakes, do selfish things, and still be trying her best. That doesn’t make her on the same level as V

Vox was def right that sending a gift basket as an apology for genocide is BAD and yes, he SHOULD show the pictures of the exterminations and what’s happening, but having one good point doesn’t magically erase a lifetime of atrocities or the new ones he’s still planning. come on guys.

the more I think about it the less I think this is the biggest deal. yes Charlie’s writing lately has been rough n inconsistent n all over the place but it’s not exactly a surprise cuz the creator and reputation of the show. my real issue is how people are seriously saying Charlie is worse than Vox?

I actually just want to throw some actual thoughts into the void instead of crashing out. Puts on my “I ❤️ Charlie” hat.
