Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

Undocumented people aren't eligible for food stamps, yet I guarantee that if you arrived at their door hungry, they would share their food with you.

This is exactly why they’re dumbing down schools in red states…

The only way to fix our health care system is to get rid of for profit health care insurance and providers and then nationalize it.

Main reason I no longer subscribe to Christian religion, is because what is preached isn't what is everyday acts.

I keep having a thought ...... don't states have a way to recall their representatives and senators when they quit representing the interests of the voters?

What if there were no political parties. Maybe our candidates would run on actual issues and the elected would represent their constituents and actually vote independently.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
