Hereβs to new beginnings this Imbolc and Brigidβs day.
Cross made and bratach hung out for the Celtic goddessβs blessing.
Reminded of these lovely wee traditions at @wimbelfast.bsky.social 5th birthday at the Sunflower yesterday.

"Strategic Gas Emergency Reserve Bill 2025... quietly reshapes how major fossil fuel infrastructure can be approved, weakening climate law, compressing scrutiny, and sidelining public participation in the name of urgency" in Ireland says @padraigmcevoy.bsky.social

Months of work finally unveiled as a major investigation I worked on with the @independent.ie launches.
Every council in Ireland was asked to write a Climate Action Plan identifying local risks and what they plan to do to reduce emissions causing those risks.
We read them all...

βUp to Β£9bn in valueβ appears to be the figure Dalradian is putting on the goldmine now - so many questions.
How is the value estimated? We oft see such figures bandied about with no real breakdown on where this value will be realised.
For the company? Crown Estate? HMRC?
Unhook ourselves from oil and gas and we unhook ourselves from dependency on dictators, autocrats and expansionist regimes all over the planet.
Renewables and other low-carbon energy sources are not just good climate sense. They are also good political sense.
