Delighted to be asked by Katie Thompson to be guest of honour & speak at her inauguration as President of the Society of Radiographers

It was held at the Roman Baths, which holds personal significance & it was wonderful to deliver my eulogy from the very spot on which I was married!

Visited Manchester Institute of Health & Performance this pm to understand research being undertaken in collaboration with Manchester Met Uni, wider partnerships in support & the delivery models for two #rehabilitation programmes, including that after major trauma

This morning I was hosted by NHS England North West in Manchester.
I received insights on current workforce issues, devolution & integration from #AHP leaders across the region.
Other colleagues also outlined work undertaken to support the health & wellbeing of #AHPs in the context of change

Honoured to be asked to deliver the closing plenary at the UKIO Congress today by its President Dr Emma Hyde

My narrative focused on the contribution #AHPs make to delivering the #NHS commitment to achieve #NetCarbonZero by 2040, in line with the overall Congress theme of sustainability

The profession are looking at what the future might bring, where careers might lead & how #Dietetics can be supported in the years to come

Sidecars have been raced at the IoM TT since 1923

As free practice & qualifying starts tomorrow wishing all competitors safe racing

In 2024 Emmanuelle Clement became the fastest female sidecar competitor in TT history at 113.78mph

She is joined by 7 other women in 2025 👏

I was honoured to be asked to present the overall winner award at the 2025 UK Advancing Healthcare Awards yesterday in London and to close the event, which was also celebrating its 20th anniversary

It was also a joy to meet my UK counterparts face to face for the first time since the pandemic

Delighted to be invited to the celebration event to recognise & mark 80 years of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapy at Southwark Cathedral this morning

The narrative, inc from a laryngectomy patient & #SLT students was a powerful reminder of the professions impact

This specialist NHS facility is currently being built nr Loughborough, home to DMRC

Its aim is to drive excellence in #rehabilitation outcomes by collaborations with academic research partners & others

It was a privilege to visit facilities of Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Stanford Hall in Leicestershire today

#VEDay marking the end of WWII in Europe, prompts reflection on the cost of freedom, the enduring impact of war & our ongoing commitment to care for those who’ve served
