These are street vendors and day laborers. They are NOT a national security threat. Sending ICE to terrorize communities is a massive red flag and an absolute waste of taxpayer money. Fix the broken system — stop using it for power plays.

Tax cuts for the wealthy. Less food assistance and health care benefits for working families. But hey, at least we'll have a new ballroom.

This is a massive red flag for the state of our democracy. We cannot normalize this behavior from law enforcement of any kind.

The National Guard's job is to protect people, not serve a role in political intimidation. The 7th Circuit's decision makes it clear: Presidents cannot sidestep governors or seize state Guard forces outside the law. Control of the Guard belongs to the states for a reason.

I was raised to show up, do the hard work and look out for others. That's what service means to me and it's what this campaign is about. I'm fighting for our community's future and making sure everyone has a fair shot.

I spoke with Northwestern University students today about national security and the challenges we face.

No sugarcoating current events, just honest conversations. We need more students asking the hard questions and thinking about real-world issues.

What's happening with ICE is disheartening, absurd and moves us backward.

During the Afghanistan withdrawal, I helped process evacuees into the United States. I recently met one of them. He is a young man graduating high school, heading to college. The system isn't perfect, but it can be better.

This Indigenous Peoples' Day, we recognize those who came first and their lasting contributions. Our history holds pride and pain, and honoring it means we tell the truth, learn from it and do better moving forward.

Strength isn't silence. It's speaking up and making sure no one fights alone.
