It is sheer fucking luck i lived long enough for my health to degrade into full-fledged Crohns disease for anyone to take notice (and then have even more treatment denied for years after).

No one, me especially, mourns the wicked.

Imagine your parents getting convinced by the system, rather than their own kid, of what's possibly wrong with them.

Bad, bad math.

And then, many years later:

I was 16, being denied further investigation and thus treatment, dying by inches from the first of several undiagnosed c diff infections.

No, it was the realization that all that bs was tied to things people "had" to do when they grew up, stuff that sounded utterly stupid and arbitrary.

For example: the FICO score was invented the year I was born.

Pretty sure humans were evolving just fine without it.

First? Elementary school math. Something sinister lingered there, and I don't mean the bs of Sally buying 47 bananas and losing 12 of them.
