That’s the problem right there. There has ALWAYS been a disturbingly large group of mean-spirited people in this country. What has changed is that we have a government VALIDATING those impulses. That’s the true danger.

The people who support him view everyone who isn't exactly like them as being less than human. We are viewed as "evil" and, according to them, we deserve to be punished/killed. Almost every single one of them I've talked to thinks this way. They have come unglued from reality.

Democratic leaders: stop staying out of the news. We need leaders who speak up against this monster in the White House. It could be the difference between a free society or falling to a bloodthirsty dictator. Do what you were elected to do. Your voices are the keys to the continuance of democracy.
