Definitely time for something! I hesitate to call you old but you and many like you would be fine. (But no more Kristi Noem and her ilk).

Early morning at Derwentwater in January. Blue skies with white fluffy clouds reflected in the calm lake. A thin veil of mist is lifting over the lake. The boat moorings are reflected in the water. Soft light and within 15 minutes the whole of the lake was bathed in glorious winter sunshine.

As journalists working today many of us are taught to recognise disinformation when we see it and fight back against it.

Well, now you have got me 😀. I concede your point but Johnson and Brexit were the result of a democratic vote and many people supported both. I would prefer a representative from other professions and not from politics. I would also like to abolish and totally reform the House of Lords as well.

But we could perhaps construct a better system. I always admired Mary Robinson as a president actually. I do agree the title president has awful connotations now, but we could surely come up with a better title. It would be democratic at least.

I couldn't give power to any one, thank goodness. My preference would be to elect someone to be our representative.

Why do you have to replace them? Everyone always asks this question as if it is very clever and absolutely ends any further debate.

He will not be sitting in a police cell. He will be in a nice comfortable room somewhere, probably with servants.

A dead Puffin lies on wet sand, its black and white feathers darkened and slick against the beach. The bird rests on its side, wings folded, with its distinctive orange bill clearly visible against the pale sand.

Heartbreaking: Right now, thousands of Puffins are washing up along our coasts and further afield.

It is devastating to see.

These birds are Red-listed in the UK and already under serious pressure.

I always had to eat my lunch a few yards away from the group I went walking with. And keep her on a short lead. They never quite believed my explanation that my lab would harass them incessantly for a "treat." She was so well behaved otherwise.
