Did you know the River Tiber actually froze in 1709?

Rome once looked at winter & said,
“Yeah sure, I’ll try being Canada for a day.”

But imagining Romans waking up like:
“The river has turned to ice — fetch the poets and panic!”

Standing at the top of Delphi, looking out over the theatre, the temple ruins, and a valley so dramatic it could win Best Cinematography… and honestly? I get why the ancients came here for wisdom.

🏛️ Where the idea of a “treasury” came from? At Delphi, the spiritual & political heart of ancient Greece, city-states built small buildings called Treasuries. These weren’t banks, but vaults of gratitude — filled with offerings, gold, & statues gifted to Apollo after victories.

One of my favourite parts of travelling? The auto stops. You never know what you’ll find — a five-foot box of donuts, oregano chips, or the largest lollipop I’ve ever seen in Greece!

🌺 Remembrance Day - Lest We Forget 🌺

Today, I pause not just to remember - but to feel.
To imagine what it must have been like for parents,
watching their children go to war.
For the young, barely grown,
who faced horrors I can’t begin to comprehend.

Lest We Forget, I promise to never forget.

Scaling Delphi & wandering the ruins where kings, philosophers, & travellers once came seeking wisdom. I didn’t exactly hear the voice of Apollo, but I did get a few good ideas (& a solid leg workout).

Turns out, wisdom’s not just found at the top of the mountain, it’s gathered on the climb. 🇨🇦⛰️

🇮🇹 As a Ferrari fan, walking into the Ferrari trophy room felt like stepping into holy ground. The air practically hums with history — every gleaming cup & medal tells a story of speed, precision, & passion.
