Eventually, I took care into my own hands. It's amazing how my transition took off once properly dosed and the peace I felt having agency over my own body. That fear of care being yoinked is continuous, in addition to gatekeeping, and no one should experience it.

There's a reason that the exotification of third-sexed populations includes a rosy, romanticized view of them as "non-medicalized", drawing a sharp contrast with the "Western" transsexual, ignoring the material and structural impediments preventing them from accessing transition care.
