We have reached "No Grinch December", whereas I spend a whole month trying to smile polite and just being patient, just like when people tell me their favorite romance film is "Titanic" or their favorite sci-fi film is "The Matrix".

This is 100% my opinion as well. I can appreciate the members through everything else they are WILLING to share with us. I do NOT need to lend support to an unnecessary and completely unsafe invasion of privacy.

I don't dislike EVERY musical, and some songs from classic musicals I truly love, but in general I am not a fan. But no shade to people who do! Just my preference! 🙂

I don't want to spoil their enthusiasm for something new that from what people say is really good (if they're into that). It's more the presumption that I will be too just by association-it's like assuming I like all kpop because I love BTS.

This is pretty spot on. I keep rewatching Are You Sure because it's relaxing and fun. 💜

I'm a former theatre professional, and having well-meaning acquaintances gush all over me trying to bond over a popular musical's movie adaptation doing well is very sweet.

I'd be a right dick if I told them I am the rare theatre geek who mostly loathes musicals. Yes, even that one.

I think Jimmy genuinely respects BTS and doesn't take for granted how much ARMY appreciates his supporting them.
