I'm only just now learning that some youtubers are using AI voices for their video narration. And now that I know that's happening, it sounds VERY jarring when you hear it.
It's like...a human voice but very off. Very robotic.

This is still my advice: Become a writer anyway. Fuck it, do it, it won't save you, but it's still a beautiful dream to write novels and short stories and poems and mingle with other dreamers and make art and laugh in the face of death. And writing is constant death. Live más.

Sometimes I think about how both of my parents were able to get Bachelors degrees at very prestigious NY colleges for little to no money, but I’m stuck with 18k in student loans from a private college I don’t even visit/talk about :)

You have spent years reading books, watching movies & TV, developing taste to know good from bad. NO ONE GETS TO READ YOUR WRITING UNTIL YOU LET THEM. Trust your taste & write fearlessly.
