One of the most interesting manga I've come across in the Prange Collection at UMD is "Three Treasures of the Arabian Nights" by Yoshitani Masaru, published in 1946.

Les tomes 1 et 5 de "Planetarium Ghost Travel" ont été réimprimés au Japon. Ce qui porte le tirage du premier à plus de 200 000 exemplaires !
En France, la série continue de conquérir le cœur des lecteurs, et le splendide tome 0 sortira en janvier 2026 ;)

Nous avons appris le décès de Sui Kasai, autrice de "Gisèle Alain". Nous avons eu l’honneur de publier une de ses œuvres et garderons un souvenir précieux de son univers.
Nos pensées vont à sa famille, à ses proches, ainsi qu’à toutes celles et ceux que son travail a touchés. 🤍

Some really sad news: Manga artist Kasai Sui passed away on September 12. Kasai was the author of the manga Giséle Alain, which has been on hiatus for many years now.
Below is a photo of my copies of all 5 volumes. I had been hoping the author would return to it someday...
The Eternaut (Oesterheld/Breccia) is one of the greatest comics ever created. It was created in a time of rising political dictatorship and its author was “disappeared” a few years later.
I beg you to go and read it. It is the last story on earth that should have gotten the AI slop treatment.

Finally finished The Moon and Serpent Bumper Book of Magic, the Moore boys compendium and celebration of magical thought, in comics, prose, cut-outs and much more. I'm someone with a big woo allergy, and there's at least one argument which made me go "Okay, maybe I'll become a magician now." Fun!
