We’re highlighting workers and advocates fighting for dignity, safety, and human rights in their communities. Because sex worker rights are human rights, and this work happens 365 days a year. ☂️

☂️ In Nevada, workers at Sheri’s Ranch are fighting to unionize after a new contract was proposed.

Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights guarantees the right to just working conditions and to form unions. We applaud the workers and CWA Local 9413 for standing up for their rights.

☂️ In Colorado, advocates with Don’t Strip Our Rights are pushing to decriminalize sex work statewide.

SB26-097 would decriminalize commercial sexual activity between consenting adults.

We’re watching this bill closely and cheering on efforts to protect the rights and safety of all sex workers.

☂️ In NY, lawmakers have introduced bills to increase protections for sex workers:

• Ending sexual contact between law enforcement & people involved in investigations
• Expanding protections around condom & sexual health evidence
• Expunging records tied to “loitering” offenses

These fights in Nevada, Colorado, New York, and beyond show both the progress being made and the work that remains.

Sex worker rights are human rights.
