Some non-feathered friends I made today. A turtle crossing the road, a baby squirrel, an impressive pyramid shaped spider web (so sad the pic didn’t turn out better). And not pictured, the business end of a white tailed deer splashing through a pond because I was too surprised to get a decent shot.

About 2 weeks ago, a pair of Canada Geese showed off 6 new babies in my neighborhood lake. As of yesterday, they still had 3, which have easily doubled in size and lost their yellow fuzz. Today they had approximately 30 new puffballs in tow, no other adults in sight. Are they robbing nests?? #birds

Everything is terrible and we live in the stupidest timeline but the birds don’t care. Brave little goldfinches on the feeder moments after I refilled the thistle and the stellar jay who mimics a red tailed hawk before swooping in to snatch peanuts. #birds #nature
