It's beautiful and hilarious and devastating and I absolutely recommend it, with the caveat that I have a big content warning: there's a case of referenced and plot relevant csa. There's no on screen voyeuristic depiction and it's very much treated as horror, but you know. It's there.

Also some very good shit on depression and finding reasons to live, the meaning of love, responsibility and forgiveness and also absolutely not forgiving sometimes, a satisfying as shit revenge plotline, and if you're tired of everything being about teenagers, fear not! Timeskips and adult era.

Do you want a magic school that ACTUALLY HAS IT ALL? Ciel has cute girl friendships and love AND toxic yuri. Hot evil men. Same sex couples. Trans characters who have so much other shit going on that that's the least of their problems. A really cool magic system. Devastating oneliners.

This manwha is like the biggest source behind my sense of comedic timing, pacing, and making the best use of dissonance to devastate readers.

It starts like a basic mystery genre but picks up with the actual plot fairly fast. Do not be fooled. This manga has the best executed twist in the history of Media I Have Personally Engaged With and also it rewrote both my heart and brain. Beautifully meta too. Please read Spiral.
