Gandalf is amazing but he's not the embodiment of hope that Sam & Aragorn are. He's too aware of the odds stacked against them & the threats they'll need to face in the future. His willingness to face those despite his certainty of failure & doing it anyway is his strength, but he needs a guide.

I am happy to see (Arch)Angel in X-titles, as he's perhaps my favorite mainstream X-man and doesn't require me to choose between the next runners up, Storm and Rogue. I'm unhappy to see artists favoring the black and silver X-Force version of his costume instead of the blue and pink one or the halos

I am gobsmacked that Madison and Vida Rocca from Power Rangers Mystic Force are not twins.

If Nightcrawler has his powers and appearance because Mystique ensured he would inherit some of Azazel's powers and appearance despite Azazel not being his father, does that mean the only reason Graydon Creed is human is because Mystique was trying to be human throughout her pregnancy with him?

7. People recognizing Rogue and Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in Magneto's mind boat, but not Polaris. They showed her three times previously, they're clearly hinting at her.

I genuinely like Zauriel and wish he was in more stuff. Heck, I loved Supergirl's whole Earthborn Angel plot. DC does angels well.

Just read the first Excalibur Epic Collection graphic novel and I am furious that after making Courtney Ross such an awesome and likable character she was killed by her alternate self who was nowhere near as awesome. I assumed she was teleported elsewhere while reading it.

The Tarasque is likewise a weird choice because it took one saint (so a single cleric) to subdue it and a basic town guards to shoot it full of arrows once she brought it back. That's not all that difficult aside from having the power of God on your side.

Granted, the Hydra and Chimera and Minotaur and so on were unique monsters killed by heroes/demigods and somehow that doesn't seem like quite the same thing. Maybe because Tiamat's existence before the world was formed? Not sure.

Tiamat is an interesting choice for a major big bad of D&D... because in our world's mythology Tiamat died before humans were ever even created or our world was fully formed from her body. "Yes, brave adventurers, you must slay that which was already slain long before your world existed."

I get that she's only sporadically been the White Queen of the Hellfire Club since the 90s, but I do think she deserves that name and it is better than just calling her Emma Frost.

People are already saying they want Namor and Invisible Woman together in the MCU. That led me to think Namor and the White Queen are intriguing, and that led to my memory that the White Queen and Angel would be fun but too similar, so now I want Namor and Angel together. Modern solutions.

Every time I see a Russell Dauterman X-men every costume ever cover I'm a little disappointed it isn't Angel.

... then around the Ruins of Azlant established merfolk as *likely* creations of the aboleth as aquatic minions, possibly from human stock. Now, aboleths treat everything as a minion, including humans, and an aboleth/veiled master hybrid versatile heritage would be cool, but that was bad writing.

Something else that bothered me was that Pathfinder established the Gillfolk (Azarketis) as humans who were adapted by Aboleths to survive the sinking of Azlant as aquatic minions who have since at least partially become free... 1)

In the Kingmaker Adventure Path, there was a rivalry (perhaps one-sided) between Gorum, the god of war, and Pharasma, the goddess of death, because Gorum's favorites would die in battle. I feel like this was poorly thought out concept and the writing has improved since then.

But even in their first appearance (on television no less) the sentinels almost immediately betrayed their creator, declared humanity needed to be conquered by sentinels in order to actually protect them, and didn't identify a single mutant despite having Prof X in their arms.

Reading early X-men stories and Bolivar Trask was almost single handedly responsible for humanity's panic about mutants... it really wasn't a thing until he made it a thing.

Is it just me, or are there a substantial number of creatures/characters that steal/trade for character memories in roleplaying games these days? I find the act of losing a memory not really good for character development, because it rarely returns and getting it back is not often a part of the game

When making lists of my favorite X-men or choosing them from a lineup of group picture, I have to ponder whether Jean Grey makes the cut. Phoenix definitely does, aesthetically, powers, story, and Jean is an awesome character and Omega lvl but sometimes I second guess the decision.
