Less tax, less regulation is the general thrust of what I hear, with the current Labour government who dont have a clear vision, of how to get to growth, but also want to social things its going to be difficult.

What's worrying is the entrepreneurs leaving the UK are not part of the conversation on UK growth. I've spoken to few people and all moan about the government not good for growth -shoud support business, this from Sunak's time but nothing specific.

Heard on the radio today, what the family went through. The mum had to endure to hell, first of her son being lost then with parts of the internet going to town with conspiracies. We see so often, Madeline McCann - the True Crime brigade often a source of it.

My kids school used to start at 9.15, the school had an early morning timetable, we'd go to Early morning fitness club, it was £2.40 per half term for a hour. Such a bargain, an hour of childcare for 20p with the PE teacher + avoid the school run rush - breakfast was had at home prior... So lucky

I recently started pickling cucumbers, omg so delicious when fresh.

Yay I resumed doing Parkrun again after a 2 week pause. I was slow as owt just under 33 minutes. I’ve put on weight now 79.5kg. I need to be 74.5kg, so a bit work to do.

My view of this, is that it’s surface, if it soothes those who feel frustrated at whatever going on, it’s ok. It doesn’t address the real issues - including falling incomes though

I’m not saying I won’t moan about it when the time comes to pay, but I think the Govt should raise my income tax because I am profoundly worried about the state of public services.

Are the rich people leaving the UK? The rich people I know of- with kids *are* leaving. Tax is a part of it, frustration at the govt. Are the numbers leaving statistically relevant... is the next question

Well if you whack up National insurance it makes hiring people more expensive. The rate went up and the threshold that companies started paying went down.
