an side-effect of Bsky's algorithm being much less tailored is that sometimes my artwork is recommended to people who have little interest in such things.

While I don't disagree that it can be more punishing, it's the roguelite nature of DD2 that puts me off when combined with it. I don't feel like I've lost a character I'm attached to, I just feel like I was cheated out of a 2-hour long run.

But also, yes, emphasis on mods for a reason.

I'm forgetful when it comes to posting on here.

Having gone back and given it a second shake, myself, a couple months ago I just feel like it's far too unforgiving with its RNG to be a roguelike experience.

If you've never tried the first Darkest Dungeon you may find it to be more appealing, esp. with some mods to tweak what you don't like.

I've been using a Dualsense for a while and it's a comfortable controller that, thanks to Steam Input, just works with pretty much everything these days.

I'd also easily recommend having a look at 8BitDo's repertoire; they make quality stuff for good prices.
