I think one needs to remember that health issues - whether mental or physical - can affect people of all ages. There is a point at which ageism and ableism intersect. Vexatious and vindictive legal claims mounted by transphobes should never ever be allowed. Also, being granted permission to reveal the identities of their targets publicly is nothing short of a green light to transphobic abuse, harassment, defamation and potentially even physical violence.

The press never admit that trans workers and trans patients in the NHS did not ask to have their names and reputations publicly dragged through the mud this way. I feel the same way about the treatment of Dr Beth Upton in the Peggie case too. They didn't ask to be subjected to this awful trauma.

I can definitely appreciate how it must be so incredibly frustrating to watch these transphobic bigots centred and allowed to speak over you and the majority of cis women. I've been out and transitioning as a trans woman for almost a decade and I've not met one transphobic cis woman in real life.
