Oh amazing! I write fantasy romance - I would say the most surprising part has been realising that the book you thought you wrote is not necessarily the same book your reader picked up. Everyone interprets stories so differently, which is wonderful 🩷 What about you?

it’s wildly irresponsible for mainstream media to call romantasy books “smut” or “p*rn” in out-of-context headlines during an era of increasing book bans and purity culture hysteria.

this mischaracterization and willful ignorance of an entire genre is how you normalize book bans.
