Among other things, I write about college football for Gator Country. US Navy husband. Known as Year2 elsewhere, but that's from an old blog I started in 2006 and it's been a while.

The Hawai’i athletics bag policy prohibits *by name* bringing a hibachi into any of their venues:

You know what would be great, is if we had solar and wind farms with batteries covering the land that's now used to grow corn for ethanol and proper national transmission lines so that we could completely ignore the international fossil fuel trade

β€˜Bows won 6-0, if you’re following along at home.

Shout out to the Ball State baseball team, which traveled 7,000 miles to score two total runs in a 4-game series. They did somehow win one (1-0 yesterday) so they didn’t come up completely empty

No spring portal period doesn’t mean football rosters are locked | GatorCountry.com The calendar is the eternal enemy of college football. The sport calendar is and must be tied to the academic calendar as long as college football is going to remain college football. The fact they don’t line up all that well is a problem, and there is no perfect solution.

My latest: There is no spring transfer portal period this year, but there's nothing stopping players from changing schools β€” yet. The NCAA is looking at preventing non-portal transfers, but their approach may not be the best.

Completely unimportant side note: in the actual movie/TV business, Warner Brothers is always shortened to "Warners", as in the brothers are the Warners, as opposed to the singular "Warner"
