It's been a while since I've visited some disused stations. These are South of Crewe, heading towards Stafford on the WCML.
Betley Road (1875 to 1945)
Madeley (1837 to 1952)
Both can be accessed by D&G bus 85 which runs between Nantwich and Newcastle-under-Lyme
Can't disagree about the legroom, it's awesome

I took my first East Midlands Railway Class 810 from Sheffield to Derby today, these units are impressive, very smooth riding and seats were comfortable.
When it started moving out the station, you didn't feel it and there is plenty of legroom.
Worthy replacement to the Class 222s
The quiet railway station from Hot Fuzz is real β and itβs on the Chiltern line.
Today I visited the filming location to see what it looks like now.
It may look ordinaryβ¦ but youβve definitely seen it before.

There is a rumor date for the Camp Hill Line Stations but nothing comfirmed yet and if it true then it would be before Bedlington

The Cumbrian Coast Line has a beginning β and today Iβm riding the railway that started it all.
Victorian stations, old footbridges, sandstone buildings and some fascinating history along the way.

I won't be able to do Northumberland Park but will be there for the 29th March as the aim is to visit ALL Stations that day. I was in Scotland till the 28th March and planned to head home but extended my trip by 2 days so I can do this.

Working on this Sunday's video.
This was filmed last year but didn't had to movitation to edit this video which will explain why it feels like the wrong weather in the video.
Anyone like to guess the station?
I can kind of agree that it fails to give the appropriate context needed as it a broader title and many YouTubers will use broader titles for their videos. As for clickbait i'm still disagreeing as the promise is fulfilled in the video even know it's broader Title
02.02.2026 21:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This person's suggestion is clickbait as he suggest '1st Nationalised Train in the West Midlands' as the video doesn't travel through the West Midlands as it starts at Rugeley Town then to Rugeley TV and returns to Rugeley Town. If I was to travel on the 1st train in the West Midlands, I would 2/3
02.02.2026 08:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Starting the journey from Wolverhampton as I'm sure (feel free to correct me) the first WMR service is the 08:13 Wolverhampton to Rugeley TV as the first LNR service started at Milton Keynes Central to London Euston. But yesterday video isn't clickbait... it's legitbait 3/3

Woke up to this comment this morning. Apart from the 1st two lines which are correct.
As for clickbait, I honestly hate using clickbait and I will never use clickbait in a title. I like to use the term 'legitbait' as what the title says, you get that promoise in the video 1/3
Rugeley Town just saw its first publicly owned passenger service since 1965.
With West Midlands Trains now under government control, I rode the first train in β and the first one back out.
A quiet station, but a genuinely historic moment.

During 1965, Rugeley Town Station closed during nationalisation.
In 1997, the station reopened and only saw privatisation until today, when the first public operated service arrived for the first time in 61 years since the original station closed as West Midlands Trains is in public ownership.
π MK5a enters service
Joined the first public run of Chiltern Railwaysβ new Chiltern Explorer sets today.
A big change for the Chiltern Main Line as the Mk3 era comes to an end.

Some places donβt do anything wrong, they just quietly irritate you!
This Stop on the Heart of Wales Line has annoyed me so much that it about time to do something about it by finally getting it ticked off!
Watch: youtu.be/Ur7NXcRH0sE
Today I've visited the Station for a 5th time and this time I can offically ticked Knighton off as a Station visit. βοΈ
Now you could say 'you already visit the station' but honestly jumping off and on the same train by stepping on the platform just makes it lame... where the fun!
Vlog be out Sunday
4 times I've been to this Railway Station on the Heart of Wales Line but haven't offically ticked this station off as Station ticking goes.
2 times have been jumping off the train for a quick selife, 1 time arrived and left on foot and the other was passing by and took a selfie while on the train
I spent time exploring some of the most overlooked suburban railway stations between Plymouth and Saltash.
Quiet platforms, minimal facilities, and a reminder that not every part of the railway is busy or loud.
A slower kind of railway video π
