I know I only recently found you guys a few months ago, but just based on what little I've seen of your years of work, I want you to know that personally I could take or leave it.

panel 1: an alarm clock ticks 6am on top of an 8 track looking stereo box, seated on a desk, is buzzing loudly "BZZZ" there's a braided cable dropping from the stereo panel 2: the buzzing continues "ZZZZ" the braded cable has looped back onto the desk ontop of some paper work and a pencil panel 3: the buzzing sound continues as a cat girl with fur reminiscent of a Siamese cat is lounging with her arm behind her head, eyes open and staring up, and a set of headphones on. she has a strange mark on her chest panel 4: with a "click" the buzzing stops on it's own. the middle of the page is a zoomed out view of the room this is taken place in, the desk from before is in an alcove with a window, there is a chair in front of it. the cat girl (who i will call vivi from here on out) is laying on a cheap looking love seat with a calendar next to her. there's a dresser on the wall further down from the love seat, and some books, clothes, slippers, socks and underwear laying around the ground around the love seat, all on top of a rug. the rest of the floor of the room just appears to be hardwood panelling. a mirror on the opposite side of the room reflects her and looks ominous. the light from the window is narrow, and the rest of the room is in heavy shadow. panel 5: the alarm clock is switching from 6:01 to 6:02, the tape in the stereo is now visibly written as "vivi's favs" panel 6: vivi does a side glance as she takes the headphones off, there are Polaroids on the wall behind her. panel 7: a zoom on the calendar says October, and the day is October 4th with "Amy memorial" written on the square.

I feel like AI is a stupid person lying to their boss to protect their job. Like it it needs to defend itself from looking bad. But that trick only works on the very dumb. Sadly, there are many dumb people out there.

There are people who wont vet AI's answers, and that's why we're here.

To get ANYTHING from an AI you have to fight it. You have to drag an answer out of it by a process of elimination that is honestly taxing, and even then you have to independently vet it to make sure the AI just didn't make something up to shut you up.

AI is insanely unreliable. Every time someone tells you it can talk to you "like an expert" it's because it's made to tell YOU what you want to hear.

If you go in believing it's going to give you the right answers, it's great at telling you answers you think sound right.

It gave me one more, then it just sort of...tried to change the topic of discussion. It started listing songs that just had weird lyrics, or songs in a different language, and then just...songs.

So I asked my friends to help me come up with a list and between the 3 of us we listed 5x as many songs.

The other time I used gemini was to help me make a list of pop songs with nonsense lyrics. (Think Surfing Bird)

It kept giving me the same answers again and again. Some that were straight up wrong.

So I told it to generate more and disregard ones previously suggested.

My friend and I couldn't figure out when Ric Flair's last world title run was or who he beat to get it. Each time we asked Gemini, it just spit us back different opponents and situations, all of which were wrong.

It just guessed. Straight up.

So, optimistically, I tried Gemini a few more times.

Here is when the truth crept in that the first time I got lucky.

Gemini does two tings: It tells you what you want to hear, or it makes shit up.
