Am heading down a similar path myself, but probably a little slower.

Learning about the economics involved in trying to compete with existing social networking sites has actually been really useful in my business units at TAFE. Sadly, I'm not sure how useful my business units will have been...

I made a Doom source port that runs within a PDF file.

PDFs support Javascript, so Emscripten is used to compile Doom to asm.js, which is then run within the PDF engine. Input/output is done by manipulating text input fields.

I've been trying to come up with a more descriptive name than "PC-98" to describe the PC-98 aesthetic, but so far "horny dithering" is the best I've come up with

We had LiveJournal back in the day. Relatively lightweight by today's standards, and the "groups" functionality meant exactly this.

I'm not saying federated decentralised livejournal clone, but ... just imagine lj posts complete with mood and now-listening, as ActivityPub objects.

So I'm hearing that Bluesky has been where the mass exodus has come to, and that there's computer nerds, and TTRPG designers and creators, and ... well, I mean Skyfield is here...

But in spite of this veritable cornucopia of coprolalia, I'm still bad at using social media.
