When I was fired from my job, it wasn't even a job I enjoyed at the end, but I'd still poured my heart and soul into it. It took years for me to "recover" (I still spiral into blind rage about it when asked the right questions)
I imagine it's a splinter compared to what you're going through.
Having once been fired from a job where I worked incessantly and accomplished amazing things, I feel you. It took about two years to fully get over the trauma.
