Trump put Starmer in an impossible position. It's easy for the rest of us.
FWIW I think he did the best he could in the circumstances to reconcile the competing interests.
No one more than me wants to tell Trump to fuck off but that ain't a realistic option.

Farage is Alf Garnett with a nicer accent. He'll soon be saying Greens don't believe in soap and Muslims live on Kit e Kat.
Farage is a loathsome man.

I'm not used to Leeds United not being a laughing stock and being a model of stability.

The draft for the Vietnam War was a sophisticated mathematical model.
It must be possible to identify the poor sod who went instead of Trump.
Wonder what happened to him.

Badenoch has made a choice. Either act like a mature leader in the national interest or get in the gutter with her mates on X. She chose the latter.
The Tory party of Whitelaw, Major and Co is no more.

A brilliant initiative. Like much of Labour's work drowned out by other events.

Although Harold Wilson didn't see active service in WW2 Healey, Callaghan and others in the Labour government had.
A factor in Wilson refusing UK participation in Vietnam.

I'm a big fan of SOME of his work. The early stuff, the mid 70s mainly.
Much of the rest leaves me cold..

The throwaway "that's the way it is" at the end of Trump's address to the US is beyond obscene.
The only life he's concerned with is his.

If the weather forecaster dressed as a farmer on Countryfile is a new policy by the BBC will weather on BBC Breakfast be presented by an unshaven bloke in a dressing gown with Frosties all down the front?

The Fulham crowd are bizarrely relaxed. Not for them the neck vein pulsing stress of home fans at Elland Road.

It's a dilemma watching Spurs. You want them to lose but not for Archie Gray to be responsible.

Good old Harry Wilson. If his goal results in a win bonus it'll affect the pound in his pocket.

The first half of the Old Firm derby has been terrific. Rangers are all over Celtic.
Credit to the referee. In the English Premier League there would be a stoppage every 20 seconds.

Farage is conflating foreign born with foreign. Matt Goodwin shares his view.
Doubt Farage is talking about, say, Boris Johson or Cliff Richard.

Thirty odd years ago I worked in a school in Middlesbrough. One of my workmates was a young PE teacher.
I left in 1990 and the PE teacher left few years later and emigrated to Australia.
Fast forward to 2026 and his son is next into bat for Australia.
Small world.
