Yeah pulling the plug on the vast majority of social media has to be high on anyone’s list. Especially LinkedIn

Our indoor cat stepped out and then decided it was a nope! This is about half an inch of snow if it had been 2 feet I’m pretty sure she would have gotten lost

I do wonder if some method of being able to identify yourself as a real person will become critical in order to be able to filter back to the “real world”
I know WeChat hooks back to actual individuals. Maybe we would all behave better if that were the case. But the govt abuse that would enable…
So much of what happens on the internet is based on trust and the assumption that the other end is a person/process with some aligned goal. As soon as you flood that with automated bad actors that are impossible to identify as not human it basically stops working.

Well this is a grim read this morning. Your phone is not your friend. Entire generations have been scarred by unregulated social media. I do wonder what the internet will look like 20 years from now.

Fair point.

Having been away for four days Molly was definitely pleased to see me back. But I think there may be some residual separation anxiety as this is where she has parked herself after I went out to buy food today 😆

The view in the evenings is pretty good here too!
17.02.2026 17:02 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Ok. Naples isn’t winning any awards for being pretty, or clean, or having amazing architecture. But it does have some seriously good food and Pompei is just deliriously awesome.

View across Naples to the mountains with a clear sky after some serious rain.
Dramatically lit bedroom with its overhead moon motif.
So the quirky hotel is cringingly hip with a hint of seedy sex hotel. But the view this morning is pretty good.

If this “resonates” with you, you absolutely have to seek professional help for your mental health.
If you can’t see how this is a cult and destroying your ability to function as a human being, at least do it for your family.
And the answer was me. They were in the pocket of my jacket that I was wearing on our last trip.

I was born and raised in Gorton and Denton, and I absolutely guarantee you Reform won't put it first.
They won't even put Britain first.
They'll put Russia first. We LITERALLY jailed one of them for doing that.
If my followers have been inspired by the fierce resistance the Twin Cities has put up to ICE, you should make it a point to take a trip here (April through October 😬), enjoy the wonderful things MN has to offer and support our small businesses. It continues to be a really tough time for them.
