I wrote over 10k of this fic without knowing exactly how I was gonna approach the complex but very necessary final emotional beat and it suddenly came to me just now let’s goooo. Let this be a lesson that I should always believe in myself

Sometimes the first step to writing a scene well is to write it very very badly. In other words, step one complete!!!

My favourite niche experience is when I’m writing fic on my phone and I write jh’s full name and it autocorrects to Toon Jeonghan. Like a yugioh card 💀

YEAHhh there is smth abt him and the way he lives that is inherently inspiring to watch… I think it’s partially how much he trusts himself and his instincts that is so fascinating for ppl who chronically overthink and have to consciously construct their own identities (ww, wz, ME)

I wish I had tips but I don’t do anything at all except go to the salon every four weeks 😭 my nail artist is good at filing the hard gel off without taking any of my natural nail with it so I almost never get cracks or breakage between appointments. I also ask her to not push back or trim my cuticle and I keep a round shape rather than pointed so the sides of my nails stay intact. I also get a pretty thick layer of topcoat too so that my nail is rock solid! Tbh the gel itself is pretty protective imo, I used to injure my nails all the time before I started doing gel manicures (I often have to use my hands for work) but since starting I haven’t had any problems!

Full reply in pic!!! Tho I think it really varies depending on type of gel used/nail artist/genetics. I know some people who have to go back to natural nails every now and to let them regrow healthily but I’ve been doing consecutive manicures for 2-3 years with no issue!

I think an underrated but extremely necessary step of the writing process is the part where you tell yourself that you’re funny and cool and that everyone wants to read what you have to say

Kept waiting for a sunny day to get a pic with good lighting but it’s not coming so fuck it night shot!! You’ll almost never catch me with a fully opaque design bc my nails grow Fast and if I have to stare at my obvious regrowth two weeks out of four I will lose my mind

While I’m here, I was reflecting on triangles recently and I do think the rain scene is maybe one of the best things I’ve ever written. That’s actually the only scene sc appears in before the eventual reunion but somehow in <700words it creates enough investment for that emotional payoff to land

My thesis on these two basically boils down to that they will always love each other but never in the same way at the same time. And I have to make them suffer about it

Currently writing what I think might be my most sickening yjh/csc yearning ever, which given my yjh/csc track record (two for two on the unreciprocated yearning) is really saying something
