It’s a really beautiful musical piece. I love the piano section between the electronic parts, as well as the build up to the final trumpet section. the chord progression for that final part is really nice, along with the amazing melody lead by the trumpet.

4/4. It’s also REALLY funny to convey the fact that the partner died during the improv, by idk like smashing keys and suddenly making it more melancholic and “depressing” sounding if you catch my drift. Keeps me entertained, after all you gotta do something fun if your improvising for 10+ minutes.

3/4. for ze love story topic, my favorite thing to do is making a sort of back and forth duet, which is usually me just playing a melody, and building off that melody an octave higher, usually each section is like 1-4 measures long, cycle repeats, and then occasionally playing in octave intervals.

2/4. Along with this, it’s also really enjoyable thinking of a topic like idk a love story, mood swings or something bonkers like “I just cut my leg and it’s bleeding everywhere” and then improvising over those topics.

1/4. Pianist here, Music improv has to be my favorite skill ever. It’s very helpful for composing, but along with this it’s also just really fun and enjoyable when you do improv for like 10+ minutes straight. My favorite thing to do is getting an already existing melody, and building off that melody
