Die von Prof. Dietmar Harhoff, Ph.D., geleitete Abteilung sucht zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine*n Direktionssekretär*in in Voll- oder Teilzeit – befristet auf 2 Jahre.

We will develop a comprehensive playbook to support the rebirth of Ukraine’s pharma industry. This playbook will help fill gaps in the EU’s supply networks and create a high-value added component for Ukraine’s economy by contributing to the country’s economic growth and resilience.

The project is grounded in a striking observation: Ukraine was the dominant location of pharmaceutical production in the USSR, accounting for over 70% of the total Soviet pharmaceutical R&D and production capacity. Today, these capabilities remain still “in the ground and air”.

This ambitious initiative aims to leverage the country’s rich industrial heritage and expertise to strengthen the EU’s supply networks and boost Ukraine’s economy ✨

Jordan Bisset, Ph.D. Jordan Bisset is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich.

Jordan received his #PhD from KU Leuven in 2024, and joins the #economics department (Dietmar Harhoff) of the Institute from Bocconi University where he was a Research Fellow in the 2024–2025 academic year.
