He didn't win the Democratic mayoral primary⦠but he won a lot of New Yorkers' hearts.
"They lit $20 million on fire, and all it did was boost Zohran's numbers. And in no small part because they corrupted their own souls by supporting a person they know to be a corrupt, abusive asshole. What are they gonna do now?"

Scoop: Stephen Miller, Noem tell ICE to supercharge immigrant arrests
Trump's top immigration officials are full-steam ahead in pushing for mass deportations.
Stephen Miller is pushing DHS to arrest 3,000 people a day. ICE is ramping up racial profiling + raids, but mass arrests need compliance & funding. Communities can resist. Know your rights. Organize. Shut detention centers down.

βThe Encampmentsβ and the American College Student
In a new documentary about the pro-Palestine demonstrations on Columbiaβs campus, students are in an existential battle of both exploiting and shedding their protagonist status.
If the Democratic Party or universities had just listened to these students, we would all have escaped the Trumpist nightmare factory.
Instead, here we are. The establishment sided with the people shouting βI hope they rape youβ and so we got the rapist-in-chief.

Critics say data proves New Yorkβs liability shield is linked to higher nursing home death rates during the pandemic
If New York voters actually reward this guy for all this corruption and death, it would be the biggest self-own in the history of that city. Full stop.

Ferreira de Oliveira, who is 40 years old, was still at their nearby home when she received a phone call from one of her daughters, who said ICE had pulled them over and were threatening to arrest Clara.
Ferreira de Oliveiraβs frightened daughter told her mother that she needed to leave the home now and come meet them on the street, because ICE was telling them that if they arrested Clara, they werenβt allowed to leave the baby in the hands of a minor. So, the feds insisted, grandma needed to rush over to take custody of the baby.
Shortly after Ferreira de Oliveira arrived on the scene, ICE took her into custody. The agents suddenly no longer seemed interested in the 21-year-old daughter. ICE did not arrest her or her 17-year-old sibling.
ICE pretended to arrest a 21 yo in order to force her to call her undocumented mother to come leave the house (where she was safe from ICE arrest) to care for her baby. When the mother came, she was abducted and the daughter was suddenly of no interest to ICE.

A true scandal. One of the biggest free speech violations of our lifetimes and yet the people who screamed about free speech on campus for the past decade were either responsible for the violation (Trump, GOP) or ran cover for it and enabled it (Bari Weiss, Fox, etc).

I'm being genuine here: people need to stop blaming communities for not turning out for candidates whose policies are actively harming them, their families, or extended communities. Harris's failure is squarely on her and Biden, and they deserve the blame for choosing genocide over electability

We can't ignore how devastating their support for genocide was to their own campaign. Misogyny and racism played their part, sure, but her campaign and the Biden administration's blatant disregard for a number of communities sealed their fate. They should forever be shamed for that.
